Q: Are these symptoms of depression or something else?
Been diagnosed with depression about 2 years ago, gone through 3 medicines and still have some symptoms. Part of the day I tend to feel somewhat normal. Most of the day I feel tired depressed and confused. I have uncontrollable thoughts (sometimes suicidal). My thinking is very irrational fearing other people and not understanding social interaction. I get blurred vision and a headache like a fog in my head. Very strange as it doesnt last all day usually. Thanks for any help
A: looks like depression but it will be prudent to go to a neurologist or your PMD to examine you (for the headaches especially if they are new)

Q: Has any girl ever experienced depression symptoms from the pill yasmin-21?
It’s has the lowest level of estrogen. I would still like to be on a pill but I’m worried that none of them will work now cuz if this one doesn’t, the others probably wont.
opinions?
i’m also going to talk to my doctor about this, i would just like some other opinions
A: Different pills will cause different reactions. All pills have the same type of estrogen just at different amounts, but they differ in the type of progesterone. Yasmin and Yaz contain Drospirenone and some people have had major mood swings due to it. I have read that for people with severe PMS symptoms, it helps, but with people who do NOT have a problem with PMS, it actually does the opposite. Every one is different.
For me personally I have done well on Ortho Tricyclen Lo in the past. Never had a problem with spotting or mood swings. But again, some people have. Its just a matter of trial and error.
Q: am i having early depression symptoms?
i feel so weird. i dont feel anything. i feel completely numb. but like right times right now a wave of emotion hits me in the face and i cant stop crying. Am i having early symptoms of depression?
A: What do you mean by “early” depression symptoms? If you are referring to age- a person of any age can get depression. Think about what has happened recently. Maybe a loved one has died, you have been through sexual abuse, some sort of trauma, etc. If you feel like it’s really getting to you then try getting a therapist. But keep in mind that it is an actual disorder when it is prolonged. Have you felt this way for a week? If you have then you haven’t been feeling that way long enough to determine if it’s Major Depression Disorder or just a mood swing. If you’ve felt this way for a few years or maybe half a year or almost an entire year then chances are it’s depression. It’s not that hard to get through, but it’s a deadly disorder. Literally. Because either you fix it or it makes you take yourself when it gets too bad.

Q: What would you say are the symptoms of depression?
I have been quite worried about my own emotional state, and the emotional states of my friends. Some of my friends say that I have depression, and I was just wondering what the signs to look for are. Any answers would be greatly appreciated.
A: Depression is a whole-body illness – it involves the body, nervous system, moods, thoughts, and behaviour. It affects the way you eat and sleep, the way you feel about yourself, and the way you react to and think about the people and things around you. Symptoms can last for weeks, months, or years. There are many types of depression, with variations in the number of symptoms, their severity, and persistence.
People with depression typically withdraw and hide from society. They lose interest in things around them and become incapable of experiencing pleasure. Symptoms of depression include chronic fatigue, sleep disturbances (either insomnia or excessive sleeping), changes in appetite, headaches, backaches, digestive disorders, restlessness, irritability, quickness to anger, loss of interest or pleasure in hobbies, and feelings of worthlessness and inadequacy. Many think of death and consider suicide. Things appear to be bleak and time seems to pass slowly. A person with depression may be chronically angry and irritable, sad and despairing, or display little or no emotion at all. Some try to “sleep off” depression, or do nothing but sit or lie around.
The cause of depression are not fully understood, but they are probably many and varied. Depression can be triggered by a number of things, tension, stress, a traumatic life event, chemical imbalances in the brain, thyroid disorder, upset stomach, headache, nutritional deficiences, poor diet, the consumption of sugar, mononucleosis, lack of exercise, endometriosis, any serious physical disorder, or allergies Hypo-glycemia (low blood sugar) is another common cause of depression.
There is quite a bit more information on depression. I just gave you the highlights. If you do suspect that you have depression talk to your doctor or some health care professional. I hope this has been of some help. Good luck to you!
Q: What are some symptoms of depression?
I feel alot of guilt all the time for things that I probably shouldn’t feel guilty about. I also have a ton of anxiety and even some paranoia. Is this depression?
A: I know this can’t help you much, but you can try this online depression test, just to see how would your results look like.

People arent always aware that they might be depressed. Denying things isn’t good, people should confront their problems and try to solve them.
Its not always easy, but with right help and support, things can get better.
I was wondering myself what are the symptoms of depression and they vary from person to person and depend very much on persons entire life ans circumstances.
Q: How can I cease some of my depression-like symptoms?
I’ve been experiencing some changes in my diet, mood swings, and mild back pain. I have also been sleeping less, waking up constantly in the middle of the night. Some of my favorite hobbies are also now useless to me. *** No I am not pregnant by the way
I should be seeing a doctor soon, however in the meantime is there any way for me to calm myself down?
A: Try yoga and deep breathing, it should help. There are these things called anti-depressants, but you should talk to a doctor before using them. As a safety precaution never take any medication without consulting your doctor.
Remember that just because you have “depression- like” symptoms all of sudden, does not mean you are depressed. Depression is feelings of hopelessness, sadness, and trauma along with thoughts of suicide. if it makes you feel better see a psychiatrist or a therapist or counselor, they can tell you what is going on.
Best of luck!!!
